Inspirados en el juego surrealista “cadáver exquisito”\, exploraremos diferentes estilos como el cubismo\, el surrealismo y el realismo social para crear nuestras propias obras combinadas. Desde las figuras detalladas del Renacimiento de Bronzino hasta las pinceladas expresivas de De Kooning\, aprenderemos diferentes maneras de dibujar personas —¡porque no hay solo una forma! En contraste con las pinturas negras de Goya o las escenas de batalla de Rubens\, exploraremos retratos familiares\, representaciones de animales y paisajes invernales. La primera mitad consiste en una visita temática por el museo\, durante la cual Louis explica las historias\, técnicas y la importancia de las obras de arte\, además de generar un debate con los niños para que hablen sobre las obras. La segunda mitad será una clase de dibujo donde los niños realizarán bocetos a lápiz de obras famosas de la colección. \n¿Quién es Louis Nye?\nLouis Nye es un artista profesional y profesor en La Casita de Inglés. Con años de experiencia enseñando a niños a través de talleres creativos\, combina su pasión por el arte y la educación para inspirar a los niños a conectar con el arte de una manera única. \n¿Qué museos visitaremos?\nLa mayoría de los talleres tendrán lugar en las colecciones de los «Tres Grandes»: Museo del Prado\, Museo Reina Sofía y Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza. Sin embargo\, ocasionalmente también organizaremos visitas a exposiciones temporales especiales. \n¿Pueden los padres unirse al taller?\nSí\, los padres pueden unirse\, pero deberán comprar su propia entrada al museo de forma independiente. This tour will take us through mosaics\, marble statues\, vases\, and ancient artifacts\, while Louis brings the myths and legends to life – heroes\, animals\, and adventures galore! \n\nActivities include: ‘Draw your own mythological creature’ by mixing animal features and write your name in hieroglyphs.  \nCapacity: 7 students\nDuration: 1.5h \nTimes available: 15:30-17:00 \nNovember 9th – Prado – Treasure Hunt\nWe’ll kick off the new school year with one of our most popular activities: a treasure hunt through the Prado! Louis will lead the students through art history with fun and engaging games that bring the paintings to life. \nActivities include: Spot the difference\, Where’s Waldo: Prado edition\, and ‘draw the missing details’. \nCapacity: 7 students\nDuration: 1.5h \nTimes available: 10:30-12:00\, 12:15-13:45 & 16:00-17:30 \nNovember 23rd – Reina Sofía – Painting Remix\n\nGet ready to mash up modern art! Inspired by the surrealist game ‘exquisite corpse’\, we’ll look at different styles like cubism\, surrealism and social realism to create our own mixed-up artworks. Louis will hand out special flip books so students can draw one part of a painting and then swap or remix it with another. \n\nActivities include: Surrealist drawing games\, ’museum DJs’ (students choose two paintings and try to ‘remix’ them together) and a flip book of different painting styles. \nCapacity: 6 students\nDuration: 1.5h \nTimes available: 10:15-11:45\, 12:00-13:30 & 16:00-17:30 \nNovember 29th – Thyssen – How to Draw People\n\nLook at over 500 years of portrait in one session! From Bronzino’s detailed Renaissance figures to De Kooning’s wild brushstrokes\, we’ll learn how to draw people: it turns out there’s more than one way! We’ll create portraits that are realistic\, funny\, or abstract. \n\nActivities include: How to draw a face\, sketching with your weaker hand and ‘drawing emotions’ (change the mood of a painting by drawing the figure happy\, surprised or cheeky). \nCapacity: 5 students\nDuration: 1.5h \nTimes available: 10:15-11:45\, 12:00-13:30 & 16:00-17:30 \nDecember 14th – Prado – The Art of Giving\, a Holiday Workshop\nThis tour focuses on how artists at the Prado have painted scenes of kindness\, family and love. The tour will be 1hr30mins long. The first half will be a themed tour around the museum where Louis explains the stories\, techniques and importance behind artworks\, as well as generating a discussion with the kids where they talk about the artworks.
