El artista londinense Louis Nye seguirá guiando a los niños y niñas en estas sesiones creativas, donde descubrirán historias fascinantes sobre las obras maestras, aprenderán curiosidades del arte y practicarán inglés de forma natural mientras dibujan.
Cada visita dura 1 hora y 30 minutos, cuesta 25 € y está dirigida a niños y niñas de 7 a 13 años.
Exploraremos nuevos temas y rincones de los museos, así que si ya has venido antes, ¡te encantará volver a participar!

¡Viaja en el tiempo con los egipcios, romanos y griegos! En esta visita recorreremos mosaicos, estatuas de mármol, vasijas y objetos antiguos, mientras Louis da vida a los mitos y leyendas: ¡héroes, animales y aventuras por todas partes! Actividades incluidas: “Dibuja tu propia criatura mitológica” combinando características de distintos animales, y escribe tu nombre en jeroglíficos. |

¡Empezamos el nuevo curso con una de nuestras actividades más populares: una búsqueda del tesoro por el Museo del Prado! Louis guiará a los alumnos a través de la historia del arte con juegos divertidos y dinámicos que harán que las pinturas cobren vida. Actividades incluidas: Encuentra las diferencias, ¿Dónde está Wally? versión Prado, y “dibuja los detalles que faltan”. |

| ¡Prepárate para mezclar el arte moderno! Inspirados en el juego surrealista “cadáver exquisito”, exploraremos diferentes estilos como el cubismo, el surrealismo y el realismo social para crear nuestras propias obras combinadas. Louis entregará cuadernos especiales para que los alumnos dibujen una parte de una pintura y luego puedan intercambiarla o remezclarla con la de otro compañero.
Actividades incluidas: juegos de dibujo surrealistas, “DJs del museo” (los alumnos eligen dos cuadros y tratan de combinarlos) y un cuaderno desplegable con distintos estilos pictóricos. |

| ¡Explora más de 500 años de retratos en una sola sesión! Desde las figuras detalladas del Renacimiento de Bronzino hasta las pinceladas expresivas de De Kooning, aprenderemos diferentes maneras de dibujar personas —¡porque no hay solo una forma! Crearemos retratos realistas, divertidos o abstractos.
Actividades incluidas: cómo dibujar una cara, bocetar con tu mano menos hábil y “dibujar emociones” (cambiar el estado de ánimo de una pintura dibujando la figura feliz, sorprendida o pícara). |

| Esta visita se centra en cómo los artistas del Prado han representado escenas de bondad, familia y amor. En contraste con las pinturas negras de Goya o las escenas de batalla de Rubens, exploraremos retratos familiares, representaciones de animales y paisajes invernales. Los alumnos también tendrán la oportunidad de crear regalos para sus seres queridos durante las fiestas, como una postal y un adorno de papel.
Actividades incluidas: dibuja una postal para regalar a alguien y decora un adorno de papel. Nos reuniremos con Louis en la entrada del museo unos minutos antes de cada sesión. |

¿Cuál es la estructura del taller?
El taller tiene una duración de 1 hora y 30 minutos. La primera mitad consiste en una visita temática por el museo, durante la cual Louis explica las historias, técnicas y la importancia de las obras de arte, además de generar un debate con los niños para que hablen sobre las obras. La segunda mitad será una clase de dibujo donde los niños realizarán bocetos a lápiz de obras famosas de la colección.
¿Quién es Louis Nye?
Louis Nye es un artista profesional y profesor en La Casita de Inglés. Con años de experiencia enseñando a niños a través de talleres creativos, combina su pasión por el arte y la educación para inspirar a los niños a conectar con el arte de una manera única.
¿Qué museos visitaremos?
La mayoría de los talleres tendrán lugar en las colecciones de los «Tres Grandes»: Museo del Prado, Museo Reina Sofía y Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza. Sin embargo, ocasionalmente también organizaremos visitas a exposiciones temporales especiales.
¿Pueden los padres unirse al taller?
Sí, los padres pueden unirse, pero deberán comprar su propia entrada al museo de forma independiente. Ten en cuenta que las actividades del taller están diseñadas exclusivamente para los niños.
¿Dónde nos encontraremos?
Nos encontraremos en la entrada principal del museo. Recibirás un mensaje con la ubicación exacta y más detalles antes de la fecha del taller.
¿Los niños necesitan llevar algo?
No, todos los materiales necesarios se proporcionarán durante el taller. Solo asegúrate de que estén preparados para explorar, aprender y crear.
¿Para qué edades está diseñado el taller?
El taller está diseñado para niños a partir de 7 años.
¿El taller se realiza completamente en inglés?
Sí, tanto la visita como las actividades se realizan íntegramente en inglés para crear un entorno divertido e inmersivo de aprendizaje.
¿Qué ocurre si llegamos tarde?
Intenta llegar al menos 10 minutos antes del inicio de la sesión. No podremos entrar al museo hasta que todos los niños del taller estén presentes.
¿Puedo cambiar la fecha si mi hijo no puede asistir?
El cambio de fecha dependerá de la disponibilidad. Por favor, contáctanos lo antes posible para discutir las opciones.
¿Qué pasa si mi hijo tiene necesidades especiales?
Estamos encantados de adaptarnos en la medida de lo posible. Infórmanos con antelación sobre cualquier necesidad específica o inquietud para que podamos prepararnos adecuadamente.
¿Qué ropa deben llevar los niños?
Ropa y calzado cómodos, adecuados para caminar por el museo.
¿Pueden hermanos de diferentes edades participar en la misma sesión?
Siempre que tengan 7 años o más, los hermanos pueden unirse a la misma sesión. Si son más pequeños, recomendamos esperar hasta que cumplan con el requisito de edad.

November 8th – MAN (Museo Arqueológico Nacional) – Ancient Adventures
Step back in time with the Egyptians, Romans, and Greeks! This tour will take us through mosaics, marble statues, vases, and ancient artifacts, while Louis brings the myths and legends to life – heroes, animals, and adventures galore!
Activities include: ‘Draw your own mythological creature’ by mixing animal features and write your name in hieroglyphs.

November 9th – Prado – Treasure Hunt
We’ll kick off the new school year with one of our most popular activities: a treasure hunt through the Prado! Louis will lead the students through art history with fun and engaging games that bring the paintings to life.
Activities include: Spot the difference, Where’s Waldo: Prado edition, and ‘draw the missing details’.

November 23rd – Reina Sofía – Painting Remix
Get ready to mash up modern art! Inspired by the surrealist game ‘exquisite corpse’, we’ll look at different styles like cubism, surrealism and social realism to create our own mixed-up artworks. Louis will hand out special flip books so students can draw one part of a painting and then swap or remix it with another.
Activities include: Surrealist drawing games, ’museum DJs’ (students choose two paintings and try to ‘remix’ them together) and a flip book of different painting styles.

November 29th – Thyssen – How to Draw People
Look at over 500 years of portrait in one session! From Bronzino’s detailed Renaissance figures to De Kooning’s wild brushstrokes, we’ll learn how to draw people: it turns out there’s more than one way! We’ll create portraits that are realistic, funny, or abstract.
Activities include: How to draw a face, sketching with your weaker hand and ‘drawing emotions’ (change the mood of a painting by drawing the figure happy, surprised or cheeky).

December 14th – Prado – The Art of Giving, a Holiday Workshop
This tour focuses on how artists at the Prado have painted scenes of kindness, family and love. In contrast to Goya’s black paintings or Rubens’ battle scenes, we’ll look at family portraits, depictions of animals and winter scenes, and the students will get the chance to make some gifts to give to loved ones over the festive period, including a postcard and a paper ornament.
Activities include: Draw a postcard to send to someone and paper ornament decorating.
Capacity: 7 students
Duration: 1.5h

Price: €25 per child.
We’ll meet with Louis at the entrance of the museum a few minutes before each session starts.

FAQ:
What’s the structure of the tour? The tour will be 1hr30mins long. The first half will be a themed tour around the museum where Louis explains the stories, techniques and importance behind artworks, as well as generating a discussion with the kids where they talk about the artworks. The second half will be a drawing class where children make pencil drawings of famous artworks in the collection.

Which museums will we visit?
Most tours will take place in collections of the ‘Big 3’ museums: Museo del Prado, Museo Reina Sofia and the Thyssen-Bornemisza. However, we will occasionally offer tours around special, temporary exhibitions.
Can parents join the tour?
Yes, parents are welcome to join, but they would need to purchase their own museum ticket separately. Please note that the workshop activities are designed for kids only.
Where will we meet?
We will meet at the museum’s main entrance. You will receive a message with the exact meeting location and additional details closer to the date.
Do the kids need to bring anything?
No, all materials will be provided during the workshop. Just make sure they’re ready to explore, learn, and create!What age group is the workshop for?
The workshops are designed for children aged 7 and above.
Is the workshop conducted entirely in English?
Yes, the tour and activities are conducted entirely in English to create a fun and immersive learning environment.
What happens if we’re late?
Please aim to arrive 10 minutes before the session starts. We aren’t able to enter the museum until all children on the tour are present.
Can I reschedule if my child can’t attend?
Rescheduling may depend on availability. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss options.
What if my child has special needs?
We are happy to accommodate where possible. Please inform us in advance about any specific needs or concerns so we can prepare accordingly.
What should kids wear?
Comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for walking in the museum.
Can siblings of different age groups join the same session?
As long as they are 7 or older, siblings can join the same session. If they are younger, we recommend waiting until they meet the age requirement.
